Mount Temple Championship Golf Course

Mount Temple Golf Course is the Midlands newest and most challenging experience for all lovers of golf and levels of golfers. A privately owned venture, this 18 hole championship course is built on a unique dry natural site affording the golfer parkland and west of Ireland features unusual to this Midland region. Natural water hazards, rock mature trees, natural undulations and drainage are among the features, with wonderful views of the Midlands for over a 40/50 mile radius from the highest point on the course. The Historical sites i.e. castle, Abbey, Ringforts, Fuaran Well etc., are another feature on the course dating back to the thirteenth century. Due to its natural terrain, the course is playable all year round.

This challenging course offers the great combination of very testing par 3's, long and teasing par 4's, the ultimate strive on the par 5's, the famous 16th hole being every golfer's dream to attain par.

This project is approved by the Agri-Tourism scheme since its inception in 1991. Vigilant bunkers are strategically placed throughout the course, placing premium on accuracy from tee to green. The combination of water, West of Ireland features, sand, nestling amongst rolling fairways provide great adventure, plus wonderful challenge on natural green layouts that is rewarding to your game. A Golf Course well worth visiting, with open competitions throughout the year.
